Palais Altenstein was initially built in 1770 for the then chancellor of Fulda. In the years between 1816 and 1866, the Fulda High Court was located in this palace. In 1866, the High Court was dissolved and transformed into a district court. In 1879, the court system was reorganised and the current structure of local, regional and higher regional courts was created. In addition to the district court and the regional court, Palais Altenstein houses a magnificent hall in rococo style, which is now often used as a wedding hall. Our Q-Park car park is only a few metres' walk from the district court. There you can park your car quickly and conveniently.
