St. Ludwig

The oldest Roman Catholic church in Ludwigshafen is St. Ludwig. It is one of the landmarks of the city. The consecration of the church was held in August 1862, which was attended even by King Ludwig the First of Bavaria. The church was largely destroyed by the Second World War and was able to celebrate its topping-out ceremony again in 1953.
