Heinrich-Heine-Haus

The Heinrich Heine House in Lüneburg, dating from the 15th/16th century, is the former home of the parents of the poet Heinrich Heine. Extensive renovation work was carried out to mark the 100th anniversary of the poet's death. The renovation work on the Heinrich Heine House continued until 1992. In January 1993 the building was presented to the public. Nowadays, the house is a popular tourist spot.
