The Mittertor between Max-Josefs-Platz and Ludwigsplatz is the last remaining city gate of Rosenheim. The Mittertor was built in the 14th century and now houses the municipal museum of Rosenheim. Various events, such as medieval performances, often take place in front of the Mittertor.
