The "Square of the Invisible Memorial" is located directly in front of Saarbrücken Castle. It was created as a reminder of the cruel time during the Second World War and as a sign against racism. The project, which began quietly and secretly, was realised by several students and their art professor. On the square where the Gestapo operated a control centre during the Nazi era, the students first secretly removed paving stones and put them back in the same place together with an engraving. The special feature: the engravings show the names of Jewish cemeteries, but the stones were put back with the writing facing downwards. Only sparsely placed signs refer to the "invisible memorial". Our car park Q-Park Am Schloss is within walking distance of the site of the invisible memorial and parking spaces can be conveniently booked and reserved there online in advance.
