When the Countess of Saarbrücken found out about this, she disguised herself as a poor woman and investigated this cold-hearted baker. To expose him, she had a stone head made that looked like the baker. As a water reservoir, he now let the town's sewage run into the Saar. Today, this stone head on the side of the staircase reminds us that avarice and greed are not welcome in Saarbrücken.
