Schillerplatz

Schillerplatz was built in the centre of Stuttgart in honour of Friedrich Schiller. It is surrounded by the Old Palace, the Princes' Building and the Collegiate Church. In the middle of the square is the Schiller Monument, which was the first Schiller monument in Germany at the time. Many different events that start from the market square are extended to Schillerplatz. In addition, the weekly market is held there twice a week.
